Brand Guidelines

After I joined Blackhawk Network the creative director created a new brand identity concept, and I was tasked with bringing their vision to life. Our first goal was to differentiate Blackhawk from their competitors by utilizing a new radiant green color palette. The second goal was to design a modular grid-based system that allows other employees to rapidly create new content with ease. While creating the brand guidelines, I designed templates for event banners, booths, digital ads, sales sheets, and PPT slides, which doubled as visual examples for the new brand direction.

eBooks

While working at Blackhawk Network I created all of their ebooks and worked closely with their digital marketing team. I was provided a copy document, while I designed the layouts, device mockups, icons, infographics, interactive elements, and found and edited stock photography.

Infographics

After creating many ebooks for Blackhawk’s digital marketing team, they decided to try releasing shorter form content that focuses on data. These infographics were essentially PDFs or landing pages behind an email capture form, and this format tended to perform better online. My job was to make the data interesting, and I collaborated with copywriters to generate ideas, and then executed the designs myself.

PPT Templates

Many sectors of Blackhawk Network use PPT to create presentations for potential partners, businesses, and internal teams, which is why it was very important to rebrand their PPT templates. I collaborated with other members on the creative team to create a robust PPT template that offered 66 different layouts.
